ECO2404H1S Empirical Applications of Economic TheoryThis course is concerned with the theoretical specification and estimation of microeconomic relationships and their aggregate counterparts in macroeconomics. Topics include aggregate consumption behaviour, demand systems, investment behaviour, production functions and cost functions, financial modelling and ther topics relevant to the modelling of economic behaviour. Students are required to specify relationships based on economic theory and estimate these based on standard econometric techniques.
