FILLING SESSIONAL LECTURER POSITIONS
Under CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement
The Department of Economics hires Sessional Lecturers to teach some of its undergraduate courses. Specific courses openings are posted on this page as well as on the departmental bulletin board at Max Gluskin House, 150 St. George St., Toronto, Ontario M5S 3G7. The list of such postings may change at any time.
To be considered for a position, an application (application form) must be submitted electronically. Applicants must also attach a Curriculum Vitae in PDF format to the application form.If you have any questions or concerns please contact sessional.info (at) economics.utoronto.ca. Applications will be retained for twelve (24) months. Individuals who submit an application and a CV will be added to the Sessional Lecturer pool and will receive notices of new job postings via email during the subsequent 24 months.
Hiring decisions for courses offered during the Winter Session (September-April) are usually made in the preceding February-April period. For courses offered during the Summer Session (May-August), hiring decisions are usually made in the preceding January-February period. However, some appointments may be made earlier or later than these times frames. Unexpected vacancies may occur at any time.
Applications will be retained for twenty-four (24) months. Persons who submit applications and CVs will receive emailed job postings for specific positions for the subsequent twenty-four (24) months.
This notice is posted pursuant to the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Please note that in accordance with that agreement, preference in hiring is given to qualified persons advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12.
