The Governor's Challenge puts students in the role of advisor to the Bank of Canada's governing council. Having analyzed economic developments, the team must form a forecast and make recommendations on whether to adjust the key interest rate.

The top five students in ECO466, Empirical Macroeconomics and Policy, are selected to participate in the competition, coached by course instructors Professors Serdar Ozkan and Martin Burda with the assistance of TA Paul Han.

Having successfully navigated a testing preliminary round, our talented team will compete against four other teams in the final that takes place in Ottawa on February 16, 2019.
