John Munro elected Life-Time Fellow of Medieval Academy of America
We are very pleased to announce that Professor Emeritus John Munro has been elected a Life-Time Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America, 2011, an honour restricted to only 125 individuals in North America. This is only the most recent honour in recognition of Professor Munro's research career. He is also a Life-Time Member of the Comitato d'Honore of the Fondazione Istituto Internazionale di Storia Economica 'Francesco Datini da Prato' (Italy) and an elected Life-Time Member (Foreign) of the Koninklijke Vlaamse Academie van België voor Wetenschappen en Kunsten (Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts). A festchrift titled "Money, Markets and Trade in Late Medieval Europe: Essays in Honour of John H.A. Munro," edited by Lawrin Armstrong, Ivana Elbl and Martin M. Elbl, was published by Brill (Leiden, Netherlands) in 2007.
