Answer to Question 1:
The state can only exist because of the self-interest of individuals.
True or False: Explain your Answer.
Consider a situation where everyone has an intellectual and emotional
commitment to the "common good". A natural result is to form a
communal relationship in which every individual works volunarily
for the benefit of the group. The state so formed will not need a
police force and will achieve the economic growth attained by
states based on individual self-interest. Everyone will be
constantly searching for activities that will increase the wealth
of the group and pursuing those activities, which will range from
the invention and development of new ways of organizing production
to labouring participation in successful organizations arranged by
others. It is interesting to imagine a perfect society!
