Question 2:
As countries grow, their agricultural sectors decline as labour moves to
growing industrial sectors. Consider a relatively rich country which is
well along in this process. The grain producing sector puts forward the
argument that its people are suffering and that the government should
support the price of grain in order to help poor farmers, giving the
surplus output that arises to poor starving people living
abroad. Assuming that one believes in helping the poor, this is a good
way to help the country's poor farmers as well as the poor people abroad.
True or False?
