Collaborative Program in International Relations
Please note that students are no longer admitted to this program. (The class admitted in September 2009 was the last one.) The information on this page is for students admitted in earlier years.The Collaborative Program in International Relations is available to students with a strong interest in interdisciplinary studies who intend to pursue careers in business, government, international organizations or non-governmental organizations. It is anticipated that the program will take 16 months. Applicants to the program are required to complete the following core requirements:
- ECO 2060H, ECO 2061H, ECO 2408H, ECO 2300H and ECO 1010H
- JHP 2231H, The History and Philosophy of International Relations Thought
- LAW 252H, International Law I (Public International Law) offered by the faculty of Law
- JPD 2232H, International Governance
- JBP 2230H, The New Security
- POL 2233H, Conflict and Conflict Management
- POL 2240H, Geopolitics of Information
- POL 2205H, Peacebuilding
- POL 2207H, Topics in IR III
- POL 2205H, Topics in IR I
- POL 2206H, Topics in IR II
They must also demonstrate competence in a second language by means of a test administered by the School of Graduate Studies (normally written during the second semester).
